Dr Amelia Allsop

Amelia, who is based in Singapore, specialises in preserving organisational memory and using creative approaches to engage audiences. In 2007, she worked with a small team to create the Hong Kong Heritage Project (HKHP), a leading business archive, museum and oral history centre in Hong Kong founded by Sir Michael Kadoorie. During her 16 years with the Project, Amelia worked on exhibitions showcased in major museums, produced short films, and wrote several official corporate history books for Kadoorie businesses. In her role as Collections Manager, she safeguarded the history of some of Hong Kong’s most trusted brands including China Light & Power, a leading power business in Asia-Pacific, and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, the oldest hotel company in Asia. Amelia has a PhD in history from King’s College London, for which she was awarded an American Jewish Archives Fellowship. She is a British / French national.
