Dr Amelia Allsop

Amelia specialises in preserving organisational memory and using creative approaches to engage audiences. In 2007, she helped create the Hong Kong Heritage Project (HKHP), a leading business archive, museum and oral history centre in Hong Kong founded by Sir Michael Kadoorie. During her 16 years with the Project, Amelia worked on exhibitions showcased in major museums, produced short films, and wrote several official corporate history books for Kadoorie businesses. In her role as Collections Manager, she safeguarded the history of some of Hong Kong’s most trusted brands including China Light & Power, a leading power business in Asia-Pacific, and The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, the oldest hotel company in Asia. Amelia has a PhD in history from King’s College London, for which she was awarded an American Jewish Archives Fellowship, and is a British / French national.


Vaudine England

Vaudine has a rich portfolio of publications including biography, corporate history, family stories, reportage and analysis. After decades of living in Asia working in journalism for newspapers, the BBC World Service and others, her focus now is on in-depth research and writing. She helps clubs, companies, families and others discover their previously unrecorded pasts and personalities, and produces beautifully authoritative books for them. Simon & Schuster is publishing her work on the multiple peoples from around the world who made Hong Kong a vital port city; her PhD on similar themes is in progress. She knows that everyone has a story, one just has to find it.

 
 


 
 

Helen Swinnerton

Helen is passionate about connecting people and organisations to their heritage. She brings an excellent mix of archival expertise, marketing, and communication skills. In 17 years as Head of HSBC’s Archives in the Asia Pacific, Helen led complex initiatives including the planning and construction of a museum-class storage and exhibition space, one of the city’s premier historical resources; an award-winning augmented-reality app; and the creation of major museum exhibitions, including one to mark HSBC’s 150th year. She spent 8 years as Secretary General for UNESCO’s Memory of the World Programme, Asia Pacific.
