Jeanne Mah

History Intern

Jeanne is a Year 3 History major at the National University of Singapore, with minors in Southeast Asian Studies and Art History. Interested in Christianity in Asia and inculturation, she also has a deep enthusiasm for the visual arts.

Her research includes documentation of previously unrecorded Thai mural paintings in the Redemptorist Chapel in Pattaya, analysing how biblical narratives have been manifested through Thai artistic and Buddhist visual traditions. She has also co-authored research on the institutionalisation of Saint Francis Xavier in Singapore, analysing how churches, seminaries, and retreat centres construct historical memory.

Jeanne has gained practical experience in heritage, archival, and museum work through internships with SEAMEO SPAFA and the NUS Museum. Her work has included conference support, research publication assistance, and collections management and digitisation. She has been an intern with History Ink since February 2026.
