HSBC Archive: Augmented Reality History Tour App

This App gave users a 360-degree, augmented reality tour of Hong Kong’s past landscapes, buildings and events. The experience centred around the heritage passageway underneath HSBC’s headquarters, where historical sculptures and exhibits were each fitted with a scannable marker that unlocked a different piece of the city’s history on the user’s phone.

History Ink’s Helen curated the experience with the designers of the App, which won the Asia Pacific Communications Award for Storytelling in 2017.
